PALOMA NICOLE DIAZ

PALOMA NICOLE DIAZ IS A DALLAS BASED ILLUSTRATOR. SHE RECEIVED A BFA IN ILLUSTRATION AS WELL AS A MINOR IN THE HISTORY OF ART AND VISUAL CULTURE FROM CALIFORNIA COLLEGE OF THE ARTS.
AS A FIRST GENERATION CHILD OF MEXICAN IMMIGRANTS IN THE U.S., SHE STRIVES TO INTENTIONALLY REPRESENT HER HERITAGE THROUGH HER PRACTICE. HER WORK IS DISTINGUISHED BY A UNIQUE BLEND OF MEXICAN FOLK ART AND TRADITIONAL WOOD ENGRAVING. DIAZ'S WORK IS CENTERED AROUND SPIRITUALITY, FEMININITY, AND THE LATINX EXPERIENCE; EXPRESSED THROUGH EARTHY TONES WITH POPS OF NEON.
SHE VALUES COLLABORATING WITH OTHER LATINX BUSINESS OWNERS AND HELPING THEM ELEVATE THEIR BRANDS AUTHENTICALLY BY CREATING PURPOSEFUL AND AESTHETICALLY PLEASING VISUALS. IN DOING SO, SHE HOPES TO INSPIRE OTHERS TO EMBRACE THE RICH IDENTITY OF THE LATINX DIASPORA.
